30mm Composting Soil Conditioner

30mm is the compost of choice for our agricultural partners. We have the capacity to supply bulk amounts of this grade to farmers.
Much of our soil conditioner is used on agricultural land and is especially beneficial for horticultural crops. Yield has been shown to increase by as much as 30% in salad crops and reduces the need for chemical inputs. Moreover, it improves both the drainage and the water holding capacity of the soil. Fundamentally, we put carbon back into the soil and, as such, we might better be called carbon managers.
A five year project into the effects of ongoing applications of compost derived from green waste has been completed. Clear benefits have been found. The project has been funded by GrantScape through the landfill Communities Fund with support through the Applied Research Forum (ARF) by the Potato Council (BPC), the Home-Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) and the Horticultural Development Council (HDC).
Composts not only provide valuable organic matter but also act as slow release suppliers of nitrogen, phosphate, magnesium and sulphur and provide a readily available source of potash, together with a range of micronutrients. |
